Five minutes, and counting, passed since the message came up on the screen. I was getting antsy to see what it was about.

"Do you think that this Mrs. Shaughnessy is going to read that e-mail?" I asked Ashley, who is now fixing her pink tank top.

"Aren't we a bit of a chatterbox today, huh Elizabeth?" Mrs. Shaughnessy complained, "What do you have to talk about now?"

"Well, Mrs. S., ma'am, are you going to read that e-mail that you got five minutes ago?" I questioned her, she now seemed to be getting a little angry at my remark, "It was marked "urgent", and it said that you "must read now" in CAPS on it..." I even added a

"Why do I have to be here," I mumbled to myself incoherently at my history teacher, Mrs. Shaughnessy wrote meaningless stuff on the whiteboard.

"What was that Liza?" Ashley, my best friend, asked.

"Nothing, just mumbling to myself, you know me," I replied back to her.

"That I do," she beamed as she put her phone away.

"What is it now?" I questioned her, like I assumed she wanted me to.

"Elizabeth!" Mrs. Shaughnessy barked at me, "Is there something you would like to share with the rest of the class?"

"No. No there is not," I replied back to her.
